Get help

You are not alone. We are here for you.

Whatever is happening, you can talk to us. You do not have to explain everything, you do not have to have decided anything, and nothing you say will be passed on without your agreement.

In immediate danger

If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services straight away.

Emergency and helpline numbers are not listed here yet. We publish only numbers that have been confirmed with the services concerned — an incorrect number in a crisis is worse than none. Please use your local emergency services number in the meantime.

What happens next

No surprises, at any stage.

So that reaching out feels less like stepping into the unknown, here is exactly what follows.
  1. 1

    We listen first

No forms, no questions you do not want to answer. You decide how much to share and when.

  2. 2

    We set out the options

Counselling, safety planning, practical help, legal or medical referrals — explained clearly, with no pressure to choose any of them.

  3. 3

    You set the pace

You can pause, change your mind, or come back months later. Nothing is withdrawn because you took time.

  4. 4

    We stay alongside you

Support does not end when the immediate crisis does. Rebuilding is the longer part, and we plan for it with you.

Confidentiality

Confidentiality is not a slogan here. In practice it means:

  • What you tell us stays between you and the team supporting you.
  • We will not contact anyone — family, employer, police — without your agreement.
  • You can use a different name with us, and you do not have to give an address.
  • You are never required to make a report or open a case to receive support.
  • If we ever have a legal duty to act, such as a serious risk to a child, we will tell you before we do anything.

Staying safe online

If someone else can see your device, a few small precautions make a difference.

  • Browsing can leave a trace

Visits to this site may appear in your browser history. A private/incognito window, or a phone or computer that is not shared, leaves less behind.

  • Leaving this page quickly

The “Quick exit” button at the top of the screen sends you to a neutral website immediately. Pressing Escape three times does the same thing.

  • Shared devices and accounts

Shared phone plans, family accounts and location sharing can reveal calls and messages. Where possible, use a device only you have access to.

  • Make a plan before you act

If you are considering leaving, the period around leaving can be the most dangerous. Talking through a safety plan first is worth the time.

Referrals and working together

We work with legal, medical, housing and social services, and we can make a warm referral rather than handing over a phone number and leaving you to explain everything again. If you are a clinic, school or frontline worker supporting someone, we can talk through the safest way to refer.
